Note: For customers that prefer to use plot files for our CADD department, below are instructions on how to configure AutoCAD to produce this file type.
In the main AutoCAD screen, from the top menu select File then Plotter manager.
Double click “add a plotter wizard”.
Click next at the introduction page.
Select "My Computer" and click next.
Under manufactures select "Xerox Engineering Systems" and "Wide Format Xerox 721" under models.
You can import a PCP, or click next to skip this step.
Select "Plot to File" and click next.
Under "Plotter Name" type "Oakville Blueprinting" and click next the configuration is now complete click "Finish" and you are ready to plot to our DDS Print System.
From the file menu, choose Plot. In the Plot dialog box, the name of the current layout is displayed under Layout Name.
Choose "Oakville Blueprinting" under "Printer/Plotter".
Assign any necessary pen assignments under "Plot Style Table".
Select proper Page Sizes and select your scale.
Click preview in the lower corner, and preview your drawing before printing.
After the drawing has previewed click and "okay" and your Plot file is made.
